BIG Talks | Pastor Jonathan Kamya: Donβt Eat Your Seed! Why You MUST Save for Your Future - Part 2
π° DONβT EAT YOUR SEED β GUARD IT SO YOU CAN GROW IT.
Why should you save?
Is saving simply about having money sitting in an account β or is there a much bigger biblical and financial purpose behind it?
In Part 2 of this powerful BIG Talk, Pastor Jonathan Kania takes us deeper into the principle of **GUARD IT** and explains why saving today can profoundly influence the life you live tomorrow.
One sobering reality is that we are all getting older.
The financial decisions we make today can determine whether, later in life, we remain financially independent and able to bless the next generation β or become completely dependent upon others.
The Bible teaches:
βA good person leaves an inheritance for their children's children.β β Proverbs 13:22 That requires preparation.
Pastor Jonathan identifies several powerful reasons to develop the discipline of saving:
πΉ Prepare for later life β What you do financially today influences the choices available to you tomorrow.
πΉ Build a legacy β Biblical stewardship should ultimately extend beyond ourselves to our children and children's children.
πΉ Avoid unnecessary spending β Money without purpose can easily disappear through impulsive and unplanned expenditure.
πΉ **Be ready for opportunities** β Investment opportunities may appear unexpectedly, but without available capital, we may be unable to take advantage of them.
πΉ Create financial freedom and choice β Savings can give you greater ability to make decisions rather than allowing circumstances to make them for you.
πΉ Build discipline β Financial discipline developed in one area can strengthen discipline in other areas of life.
And perhaps the most important message:
START.
Don't wait until you have Β£1,000.
Don't wait for the perfect salary. Don't wait until everything is comfortable.
Start with what is in your hand.
The purpose of starting small is not merely the amount accumulated.
You are developing the habit.
Pastor Jonathan reminds us that knowledge alone is not enough.
Scripture calls us to become **doers and not merely hearers.
So after watching this episode, ask yourself:
What financial decision am I going to make TODAY because of what I have heard?
Remember our BIG principles:
π GET IT
π‘οΈ GUARD IT
π± GROW IT
π€²πΎ GIVE IT
You cannot grow what you don't have.
And you cannot give what you haven't retained.
Don't eat all your seed. Guard some of it β because today's seed could become tomorrow's harvest.
